Job Overview

Part Time, minimum 16 Hrs per Week, £28-30,000 Pro Rata

East End Press is a design studio based in Glasgow, creating beautiful, sustainable and joyful homeware, stationery and decorations that are screen printed by hand on recycled cotton paper in Jaipur, India. Our growing range of products, including our best selling printed sewn garlands, greetings cards and more, is stocked in over 1,000 locations around the world as well as selling directly through our website and brick and mortar store in the west end.

We are looking for an organised, highly detailed, and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our small team in Glasgow for a minimum of 2 days per week with the possibility to increase. In this role, you will play a crucial part in keeping our studio running smoothly by maintaining our product data, managing stock inventory records, and providing vital day-to-day administrative and logistical support.

Key Responsibilities

Product Data & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate product listings and master data, including package dimensions, product weights, and shipping information
  • Create, update, and format associated product documents, such as retail barcodes and product labels
  • Rigorously copycheck and proofread product information across both physical and digital catalogues

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Conduct careful diligence checks to reconcile stock order inventory records against financial invoicing data
  • Compile and update weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc stock reports to assist with inventory planning
  • Prepare and issue warehouse advance delivery notices for incoming shipments

Studio & Logistics Support

  • Prepping and packing for trade and consumer events
  • Monitor, order, and organise general office supplies to keep the workspace fully stocked
  • Assist with preparing and dispatching customer samples, and marketing mail-outs
  • Provide general administrative and organisational support across the studio team as needed

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in an administrative or studio-support role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Experience or understanding of retail logistics, wholesale supply chains, or warehouse receiving processes.
  • An interest in or appreciation for design, illustration, and sustainable independent brands.
