The Role
Join our friendly team as an Administrative Officer at Orchard Close, where we provide a respite service for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities.
As an integral part of our small supportive team, you’ll carry out vital administrative tasks at the home, ensuring the smooth running of our service.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and respond to emails and phone calls.
- Act as first point of contact for all visitors and staff.
- Build and establish positive working relationships with staff and residents.
- Resolve any queries and escalate where required.
- Data checking and monitoring, including working with spreadsheets.
- Take minutes at staff meetings.
- Support the registered manager with the day-to-day running of the service.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience delivering a range of administrative activities.
- Team player with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong communication skills.
- Resilient and adaptable to changing demands, remaining calm and professional.
- Good IT skills, especially MO365 (Word, Outlook, Excel) and willing to develop these further.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- Shows patience, compassion, and empathy in all interactions. You’ll treat service users with dignity and respect.
