About the Job

Q-Mass are a market leading, global, sub-contract, precision machining supplier. Q-Mass are also a passionate manufacturing organisation providing world class precision machining to its customers specification and tolerances. Each customer’s products are manufactured by exceptional people using best-in-class machinery.

Moreover, continuous re-investment in the business has seen our range of services increase organically to include 5-axis CNC Turning & Milling, EDM Spark & Wire erosion, Gun-Drilling, Honing, VAM threading and CMM Inspection.

The sectors Q-Mass serve include Aerospace, Space, Defence, Renewables, O&G.

Founded in 2006, Q-Mass has grown to employ nearly 50 people with an annual turnover approaching £12M from our base in East Kilbride. Following a very successful acquisition in 2024, which has enhanced the business even further, 2026 and beyond will be very exciting times ahead of growth and expansion for Q-Mass and as a result, we are now looking to expand our very talented workforce by recruiting an Administrator.

Administrator Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming quotation requests & customer enquiries from various channels (email and customer portals).
  • Load incoming enquiries into ERP system and create enquiry cost sheets.
  • Maintain storage of drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) associated with each quotation.
  • Work closely with technical estimators to finalise quotation prices.
  • Distribute customer quotations via email/customer portals.
  • Create sales orders from awarded purchase orders.
  • General administration.
  • Maintain accurate storage of drawings and files associated with each purchase order.
  • Raise new work orders and create job packets (Route Card, Drawing, Purchase Order).
  • Attend meetings where required.
  • Place Orders for Consumables.
  • Any other duties as required by your Line Manager.

Skills & Behaviours

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in an Admin role, ideally gained in Engineering, Manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Basic Salary plus benefits package for the successful candidate.

Hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, and Friday 7am - 12.30pm.
