Location: Manchester
- Hours: Full time (40 hours per week, 2-work week rota)
- Contract: Permanent, office-based
- Annual salary: Up to £26,528.31 (previously stated £26,450.92 corrected)
We are currently recruiting for an Administrator to join our Manchester branch. This critical role plays a pivotal part in managing administrative duties across various stages, particularly focusing on:
Key Responsibilities
- Complaints Management:
- Process and manage customer complaints in line with Mears Living’s complaints policy and procedures.
- Liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders, responding telephonically and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist managers in timely and compliant responses to customers.
- Governance Support:
- Provide resource augmentation for Board of Plexus and Omega Housing governance requirements.
- Customer Engagement:
- Facilitate customer support, including responding to queries and escalating issues where necessary.
- General Administrative Tasks:
- Work closely with managers to deliver essential tasks, prioritise workload effectively, and support overall business objectives.
Role Criteria
- Proven customer service experience with a strong track record in administratively support-resilient roles.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- meet deadlines, and manage diverse priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- IT proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel for basic data management).

Recruitment Process and Clearance Requirements
For all positions at Mears, successful candidates will undergo:
- Background, Identity, Security Checks & Basic Protective Security (BPSS) clearance.
- Identification Verification: Valid proof of address, two references, and a passport.
- UK Work Eligibility: Must have the right to work within the UK (no visa sponsorship offered).
- Driver Eligibility for Mears Vehicles (if applicable): Must be over 21 years, hold a licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 driving points.
