Administrator
School Administrator (SEND Department)
Location: Secondary School, Liverpool Type: Full-Time
Milk Education is working in partnership with a prestigious and high-achieving secondary school in Liverpool to recruit a full-time School Administrator to support the school's thriving SEND Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and professional administrator who is passionate about education and making a positive difference in the lives of young people. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the SEND team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of administrative processes that help students access the support they need to succeed.
Roles and Responsibilities

Support the SENCO in developing a strategic approach to:
- SEN policy
- Practices, expectations, and targets
- Teaching methods

Work with parents/carers and stakeholders to facilitate support for pupils with SEND

Establish staff and resource needs and advise the SENCO on:
- Priorities for expenditure
- Efficient allocation of available resources to meet the school’s objectives and value-for-money goals

Support the implementation of the SENCO’s strategy, optimising:
- Subject expertise
- Technical and other available resources

Provide up-to-date information to the SENCO regarding:
- New resources from various sources inside and outside the school
- Gathering evidence for submissions for Top-Up Funding

Understand and support pupils with special needs

Collaborate with volunteers and Learning Support staff in the classroom:

Work alongside students, Curriculum Leaders, class teachers, and support staff to set:
- Realistic expectations for behaviour and achievements of students with SEN
-
Assist in ensuring a safe working and learning environment, focusing on proper risk assessment

Contribute actively to the life of the school community and support its:
- Distinctive mission and ethos
- Ensuring staff and students embody and uplift these values
