Administrator
Administrator – Justice and Immigration Team
Location: HMP Ashfield, BS16 9QJ
Salary: £25,510 per annum (pro rata) + excellent benefits
Schedule: Part-time (24 hours per week), Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays Available shifts:
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

As an Administrator in our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll provide secure, effective, and efficient administrative support to keep essential services running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting operational teams
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring critical processes are completed to a high standard in a secure working environment
Your precise and detail-oriented work will help colleagues access the right information, support service delivery, and contribute to positive outcomes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be entrusted with:
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails, and documentation—ensuring accuracy and security.
- Maintaining electronic and manual records, updating databases and systems in a timely manner.
- Collating, compiling, distributing, and filing reports while supporting departmental documentation.
- Organising meetings and events, producing and distributing meeting minutes where required.
- Responding to departmental queries and providing administrative support to colleagues.
- Producing high-standard correspondence, reports, and documents.
- Upholding confidentiality and ensuring data security when handling sensitive information.
- Supporting performance measures, contractual outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements
This role is a great fit if you:
- Have strong computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Have previously worked in an administrative environment.
- Understand Data Protection and GDPR requirements.
- Have experience in minute-taking and producing accurate records.
- Possess strong organisational skills and an excellent attention to detail.
- Can handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Vetting and Checks
As part of this role, we will require:
- Standard DBS check: Covers spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and compulsory warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
- Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure you have the necessary support for your duties.
