About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new team within the Community Autism Service. As the Band 3 CAS Administrator, the successful candidate will play a key part in establishing the service, helping to shape both the role and the administrative processes as the team develops. The Band 3 CAS Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Community Autism Service, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing person-centred care for autistic adults in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham.
Based at the Outpatient Department, Maudsley Hospital, this part-time administrator (15 hours per week) ensures the smooth running of daily operations, acting as a first point of contact for families, carers, and professionals. The post-holder manages and oversees the administrative components of the Trust patient database and actively contributes to delivering a responsive, inclusive, and high-quality service.
Location and Hours
The position is located at the Maudsley Outpatient Department and requires in-person attendance. We are open to flexible working arrangements, such as distributing hours across several days, and will collaborate with the successful candidate to determine suitable workdays. However, it is essential that the candidate is available to work on Wednesdays.

Responsibilities
- Providing a proactive, comprehensive administrative service to a multi-disciplinary team, enabling the team to operate effectively and efficiently.
- Being the first point of contact for families/carers and other members of the person’s network, playing an important role in ensuring a good patient experience and positive image of the service.
- Managing and overseeing the administrative component of the Trust patient database, i.e. inputting referral and patient information, monitoring, and updating data quality, etc.
About the Community Autism Service
The Community Autism Service (CAS) is a new team, developed with commissioners, staff and Experts by Experience to meet a gap within service provision for autistic adults across Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. The CAS aims to support autistic individuals who cannot access other services such as mental health or learning disability services, but would benefit from specialist, autism focused, targeted assessment and therapeutic input.
