Starting Salary: £25,917.65

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
Purpose of the Role
This is a great opportunity to start a career in Facilities Management through a Level 2 apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience while supporting a busy regional operations team. You’ll work closely with the team, building your skills across administration, site support, and data analysis.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll develop a strong understanding of how our sites operate, supporting decision-making through data and gaining exposure to audits and operational processes.
Upon completion, you will have the training and real experience needed to progress into a Team Leader role.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support, including booking meetings, taking notes, and tracking actions
- Support site teams with labour bookings and general coordination activities
- Develop your understanding of data and reporting, helping to analyse information and share insights with the Operations team
- Assist in producing simple reports to support data-led decision making
- Support sites in completing NCT audits and help track and follow up on actions
- Work with the team to monitor and reduce backlog activities
- Build an understanding of Facilities Management processes and how sites operate
- Provide general support across the team as business needs evolve
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Facilities Services Operative Apprenticeship Level 2 qualification which normally runs for 12 months. You will be fully supported by our partnered college to achieve this qualification by attending college 1-day per week, having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.
