The Junior Bursar
The Junior Bursar is responsible for the operational management of the College, directly supervising several Heads of Department and coordinating the activity of others. As a member of Council and several key College Committees, the Junior Bursar influences key decisions and ensures the delivery of the College’s short-term and long-term priorities. The Junior Bursar is directly supported in these efforts by the Committee Coordinator.
The Role
Reporting to the Committee Coordinator, the Administrator (Committees) will manage committee processes, coordinate events, and provide critical administrative support. Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting College committees by preparing agendas, collating and distributing papers, drafting minutes, and tracking actions.
- Scheduling meetings and ensuring adherence to governance guidelines.
- Assisting in drafting reports and policies through collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Coordinating requests for events and functions, including weddings, conferences, and fundraisers.
- Managing data, extracting key information, and maintaining accurate records to support decision-making.
The role is contracted at 0.8 FTE on an annualised hours basis. During University Full Term (26 weeks per annum), hours will normally be worked across five days per week (36.25 hours). Outside Full Term (26 weeks per annum), hours will normally reduce to three days per week (21.75 hours). Due to the operational nature of the role, annual leave is expected to be taken outside Full Term wherever possible.

Location: Due to the nature of the role, this position is based fully on site at Trinity College.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Exceptional administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Experience in committee support and an understanding of a collegiate university (desirable).
