Administrator in Breast Imaging
Administrative Officer – Breast Screening Services
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for excellence in patient care and the commitment to make a meaningful impact within the healthcare environment.
About the Role
You will join the Administration team for the North Yorkshire Breast Screening Service and the York and Scarborough Breast Symptomatic Service. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the breast imaging team and the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high-quality, confidential, responsive, and user-friendly service to patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
The North Yorkshire Breast Screening Service provides a high-quality Mammography Service to the North Yorkshire area, and you will be part of a team responsible for administering this service using bespoke computer software, in addition to the Symptomatic Breast Imaging Service.

Key Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to support patient care and service resilience
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism
- Operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while adhering to strict data protection and patient privacy guidelines
- Use bespoke administrative software to manage patient records and service coordination

Essential Requirements
- Excellent computer/IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Exceptional written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
- A disciplines commitment to high-quality patient care and ethical standards
- Ability to demonstrate willingness to learn, adapt, and develop in a dynamic healthcare setting
- Dependable teamwork and customer service orientation
- Proven understanding of patient confidentiality, privacy, and data protection
Desirable:
- Prior experience within administrative, healthcare, or screening services
- Familiarity with breast imaging pathways or screening programmes
- Prior NHS experience
