The Role
As an Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll provide essential administrative, secretarial, and document control support to senior managers and project teams within Major Infrastructure Projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to programmes that support the UK's defence and infrastructure capabilities while developing your administrative expertise in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll play a vital role in ensuring projects remain organised, compliant, and efficient. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and proactive approach will directly support business objectives and help deliver outcomes that matter.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Attend meetings with managers and stakeholders, recording accurate minutes and tracking actions.
- Produce reports, schedules, summaries, and documentation through the extraction and collation of data from multiple sources.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to project teams, enabling the achievement of key business objectives.
- Manage routine enquiries and correspondence, supporting managers and stakeholders efficiently.
- Maintain compliance documentation and ensuring records are accurately distributed, captured, and uploaded to SharePoint systems.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at Devonport, working 35 hours per week.
Essential Experience of the Administrator
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Qualifications for the Administrator
Essential
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/Grade 4 or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
Desirable
- Additional administration, business support, or project support qualifications.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
