Prescription Team Administrator
Location: Keynsham, Bristol (BS31 2ED)
Contract: Full-time (40 hours per week)

About The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Prescription Administrator to join our qualified team at Pet Drug Online in Keynsham. This is a vital role responsible for checking and processing veterinary prescriptions, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and legally valid before medicines are supplied.

What You’ll Be Doing
Reviewing and validating veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and legality Accurately copying and inputting prescription information into internal systems Checking medicines for correct species, dosage, strength, formulation, and duration Identifying and resolving discrepancies or omissions in prescriptions Liaising with veterinary surgeons to clarify or amend prescriptions when required Ensuring controlled and restricted medicines are handled in line with legal requirements Working closely with vets and customer service teams to deliver excellent customer service Maintaining thorough and accurate records Working towards agreed KPIs and SLAs

Essential
What We’re Looking For
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Confident ability to interpret veterinary prescriptions Good understanding of veterinary medicines and prescribing principles Effective communication and problem-solving skills Strong time management and organisational skills Ability to work independently while following standard operating procedures Experience managing performance against KPIs Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment Supportive, approachable team player who can also work confidently unsupervised A values-driven approach, consistently role-modelling positive behaviours
Desirable
SQP qualification Previous data entry experience Training in veterinary medicines and legislation Experience in a veterinary practice, pharmacy, or veterinary medicines supplier
Working Pattern
40 hours per week
Alternating Shift Patterns
08:00 – 16:30
08:45 – 17:15
Saturday shifts on a rota (with a lieu day provided the week before or after)
