12 Month Fixed-Term Contract £28,000 - £30,000 Full-Time Office Based Potential for Permanent Employment

A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Administrator to join its team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation operating within a specialist market, supporting a variety of functions including administration, customer service, purchasing and supply chain activities. The role offers genuine potential for a permanent position for the right individual.

The Role

Working within a busy office environment, you will provide administrative support across several departments, ensuring data is processed accurately and day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • General administrative support
  • Processing customer orders and maintaining accurate records
  • Data entry and data validation
  • Managing documentation and filing systems
  • Supporting purchasing and supply chain functions
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers via telephone and email
  • Assisting with export and customs-related documentation
  • Updating information within internal business systems
  • Supporting colleagues across multiple departments as required

About You

We are looking for somebody who is highly organised, detail-focused and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Previous administration experience
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to work
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience

  • ERP system experience
  • Sage experience
  • Purchasing administration
  • Supply chain, manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Export administration or customs documentation
  • Good Excel skills
