This is an exciting opportunity to join our Integrated Community Stroke Service, where your skills, organisation, and attention to detail will play a vital role in supporting patient care and recovery.

As an Administrator within our friendly and supportive team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our service running smoothly. Your role will be varied and rewarding, including managing referrals, maintaining accurate data, responding to patient queries, and coordinating equipment and stock. Your contribution will enable our clinicians to focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation.

This is a 10 month secondment opportunity

Flexible part-time hours: 22.5 hours per week

  • Working pattern is flexible and negotiable, with the requirement to work Mondays (until 4:30pm) and Fridays
  • Based across two Bristol sites — South Bristol Community Hospital and Charlotte Keel Medical Practice, with free parking available at both locations

Key responsibilities include:

  • Play a key role in the team, contributing to the day-to-day administration that keeps the service running smoothly
  • Work independently and collaboratively, using your initiative while also supporting colleagues to prioritise and manage workloads
  • Provide flexible support across the team, helping to maintain continuity by covering annual leave and sickness when needed
  • Manage referrals, inputting and processing information on the EMIS system in line with service protocols and escalating potential issues
  • Be a first point of contact, handling telephone enquiries with professionalism, empathy, accuracy, and within a timely manner
  • Support patient journey, including processing discharges in line with local policies
  • Ensuring your own and shared mailboxes are regularly monitored and responded to promptly, escalating any potential problems
  • Provide a wide range of administrative support, including producing and printing letters, managing documents, scanning, minute taking, and handling post and sensitive information
  • Deliver excellent customer service, responding to patient enquiries with understanding and care in line with Sirona values
  • Supporting colleagues, contributing to the wider effectiveness of the team
  • Manage priorities and deadlines in a changing environment
  • Inputting data information into the national SSNAP database
  • Taking part in regular supervision and performance reviews
