How you'll make a difference
As an Administrator, you will be supporting the StreetCare team by providing efficient, responsive and high quality administrative tasks. The team deliver services across the community, from managing the roads, designing and building major road schemes, to gritting the roads in winter and sweeping the streets. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in the place we live in to join an established team supporting South Gloucestershire.
What you will be doing
Providing administrative support to the team and its customers, you will ensure work carried out is efficient and procedures are effectively implemented. It will be your responsibility to undertake relevant administration tasks, such as raising invoices and purchase orders, chasing unpaid invoices, taking payments over the telephone and processing requests for licences and services. You will answer enquiries and information requests that arrive via telephone and online. It will be key for you to collate information, maintain accurate records and prepare documents and other materials using established formats, software and procedures.
What we need from you
We require you to either hold five GCSEs (grade 4 or above) including English and maths, a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable experience in a similar administration role. You will have strong customer service skills and the ability to interact in an effective and efficient manner. It is essential that you have a good knowledge of IT, with experience of various Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Broad Lane, Yate and from home. We have two full time, permanent positions to fill.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April 2026.
