Unlock Your Best Work Life

  • Make A Difference To Every Life

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the team at HMP Leeds, a category B male prison located in Leeds. HMP Leeds is a busy remand prison, so we have a high turnover of men, which makes for a fast paced, challenging, but exciting environment!

This role offers a lot of variety, where no 2 days are ever the same - you will be the first point of contact for healthcare! You will work on the wings regularly, interacting with patients during drop-in sessions as well as working with the wider prison team.

Hours

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.

Salary

This position is full-time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £28,575 - depending on experience.

Interviews will be held on 21st July 2026.

How Will We Support You?

  • Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course
  • Competency framework
  • Regional and national career development opportunities
  • Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs
  • Support from the wider team

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What You'll Be Doing

As our new Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of call for the healthcare team, you will respond to emails (Practice Plus Group and NHS), receive and make calls, as well as general admin duties
  • Arrange and chase referrals and appointments (internal and external), coordinating external hospital appointments alongside the wider prison team, coordinating bed watch in external hospitals, arranging escorts for external appointments etc
  • Working alongside the Patient Engagement Lead, assist with the release and transfer of patients (including follow-on care and medication) and much more!
  • Work on the wings for drop-in sessions regularly, acting as the admin contact for prisoners and helping them with any healthcare queries, applications, or issues
  • Carry out group inductions with new inmates, explaining more about the healthcare service
  • Minute take as necessary

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
