Administrator/Junior Secretary (Development Sales Team), Real Estate & Projects – London
We are working with a leading law firm to recruit an Administrator/Junior Secretary to join the Development Sales team within their busy Real Estate & Projects department in London.
The Real Estate team sits at the heart of the firm’s business. With 18 dedicated partners, the team works on a wide variety of property transactions for a broad range of clients—from registered providers of social housing and care homes through to private developers, acting on sites and developments ranging from a handful of units to thousands. This includes portfolio and street property acquisitions and disposals.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and detail-focused to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the team, helping to meet client expectations in line with the department’s objectives.
Key Details:
- Salary: £28,860
- Location: London
- Reports to: Amber Cooper, Secretary Coordinator
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or a CILEx Diploma for Legal Secretaries qualification is desired but not essential
- Interview process: One-stage, in-person interview

Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the team, including:
- Filing, printing, scanning
- Monitoring post and incoming couriers
- Sending out completed documents
- Producing cover letters
- Supporting the secretary inbox across a vast range of tasks
Financial & Related Tasks:
- Produce bills, deal with invoices, and manage completion monies
- Assist in the opening of new files for fee-earners
- Ensure timely sending of completion monies
- Submit searches using the firm’s search provider
Client Liaison & Documentation:
- Receive outgoing client calls, route them, or take messages as appropriate
- Liaise with external clients on behalf of the team
- Maintain accurate and tidy hard copy and electronic files
- Provide cover support for other secretaries in the team

Requirements
Qualifications:
- A CILEx Diploma for Legal Secretaries is preferable but not essential.
Skills & Attributes:
- High attention to detail, consistently producing high-standard work
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, able to take ownership
- Ability to prioritise workload to enhance team efficiency
- Typography speed of 50+ wpm, with legal secretarial experience
- Familiarity with audio and copy typing
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and internet applications
- Could coordinate large documents in Microsoft Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to convey clear, concise information to external clients and organisations
