Start your care career with ARMSCARE, supporting residents in warm, person‑centred care homes. Gain hands‑on experience, nationally recognised training and the skills to make a real difference every day. A rewarding role with purpose and a strong pathway into health and social care.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop communication skills by engaging with clients, learning about their backgrounds, interests and individual care needs.
  • Learn to support personal care, including washing, dressing and promoting dignity and independence.
  • Build practical skills in preparing meals, assisting with eating and supporting safe medication routines under supervision.
  • Support clients to participate in physical, social and wellbeing activities as part of their care plan.
  • Be trained to carry out routine health checks such as weight, temperature and blood pressure monitoring.
  • Learn how to recognise and report any concerns about a client’s health or wellbeing to senior staff.
  • Develop confidence in maintaining accurate care records and updating individual care plans in line with guidance.

Requirements

  • Passing a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Be a UK resident or living in the UK or EU for the last three years for apprenticeship eligibility.
