Voyage Care is seeking a Support Worker Apprentice to study for an Adult Care Worker Level 2 qualification. You will assist with daily living activities, learn essential care skills, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere within our service.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals using appropriate methods, including tact, empathy, and diplomacy, potentially using specialist communication methods after training.
  • Assist with personal care under supervision, including bathing and using moving and handling equipment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Accompany individuals on outings and activities.
  • Assist with household activities such as cooking, mealtimes, laundry, and cleaning.
  • Record and complete appropriate documentation accurately.
  • Handle cash for errands and manage service users’ monies.
  • Undertake and complete the Apprenticeship Programme within the agreed timescale.
  • Undertake relevant training to professionally develop.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Attend, participate, and contribute to team meetings.
  • Comply with the company’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
