This Role—Clearly

You’ll lead a cutting-edge statistical and regression-based analytics function within the Audiences & Data portfolio at CNN.

critical to the role your accomplishments will involve:

  • Owning the end-to-end analytical approach for perception and influence measurement, ensuring data-driven rigour from design through delivery.
  • Building regression, multivariate, and factor-based models for media, marketing effectiveness, and brand metrics.
  • Ally of business teams—collaborating with commercial, insight, and product groups to tackle pressing questions through advanced analytics.
  • Bridge between complex math and practical client applications—communicating with sales, stakeholders, and teams.

Role Should Reflect:

You are both meticulous analytical leader and talented teacher—guiding junior analysts through statistical knowledge, methodology, and model accuracy while championing cultural and skill growth.


Key Responsibilities

Management & Leadership

  • Fulfill technical mentorship to develop analysts working on perception analytics, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Elevate the analytics function’s overall capability, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and statistical thinking.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with team leads to define hiring needs and skills development plans.
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to optimise data use and present defensible methods.

Execution & Innovation

  • Assist sales and account teams in translating analytics insights into tangible business–case scenarios while transparently outlining limitations and caveats.
  • Design and continuously improve analytical methodologies tailoring to multi-market, large datasets.

Strategic Thinking

  • Contribute to product and commercial roadmaps based on evidence-backed findings.

Who We’re Looking For

We need a high-expertise Quantitative Analyst to join our media, marketing, or audience-measurement team.

Essential Experience

  • Proven track record in advanced analytics, statistical modelling, or quantitative research—preferably in regression, probabilistic modelling, or causal inference.
  • Hands-on expertise with R or Python, contributing to customisable, scalable data workflows.
  • Strong experience with perception, attitudinal, or brand surveys, including index construction or composite metrics.
  • Working knowledge of large-scale multivariate analytics (factor analysis, mixed-effects modelling) and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with experimental design for causal validity and robust measurement.
  • Media/marketing/multi-market brand analytics experience is a must—we’re looking for someone who knows the industry’s data landscape.
