Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) | Shakespeare Walk-in Centre
Location: Shakespeare Walk-in Centre Type: Full-Time (40) or Part-Time Salary: Up to £72,000 per annum (FTE, dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) ready to practise to the top of your scope in a well-established urgent care service?
Shakespeare Walk-in Centre is recruiting a confident, autonomous ACP to predominantly manage minor injury and illness presentations across all age groups, including paediatrics.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role within a supportive, clinically-led environment.
Main Duties
- Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting with minor illness/injuries
- Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing skills
- Identify red flags, escalate appropriately in line with clinical governance
- Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting
- Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork
Essential Criteria
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant ACP courses at Level 7, including recognised modules in:
- Advanced Physical Assessment Skills
- Minor Injuries
- Disease Management
- Independent/NSCP Prescriber (V300 or equivalent *)certification
- Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care
- Confident, autonomous management of minor illness/injuries
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions
- Qualifications or training in paediatric assessment

Working Pattern
- 12-hour shifts (08:00 - 20:00) on a 7-day rolling rota
- Full-time equivalent: 40 hours per week
- Part-time contracts available (up to 36 hours per week), worked in 12-hour shifts
Recruitment Process
