Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) | Sheffield Walk-in Centre | Full-Time (40) or Part-Time Can Be Considered
Are you an experienced ACP ready to practise at the top of your scope in a well-established urgent care service?
Sheffield Walk-in Centre is recruiting a confident, autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to predominantly manage minor illness presentations across all age groups, including paediatrics. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role within a supportive, clinically led environment.
Main Duties
- Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting with minor illness
- Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing skills
- Identify red flags and escalate appropriately in line with clinical governance
- Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting
- Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork
Working Pattern
- 7-day rolling rota
- Service operating hours: 08:00-22:30
Essential Criteria
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant ACP courses at Level 7 including recognised modules in Advanced Physical Assessment Skills (essential), Minor Illness/Injuries, Disease Management, etc.
- Independent / Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
- Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care
- Confident, autonomous management of minor illness
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions

- Salary Up to £65,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience (pro-rata)
