Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) | Sheffield Walk-in Centre | Full-Time (40) or Part-Time Can Be Considered

Are you an experienced ACP ready to practise at the top of your scope in a well-established urgent care service?

Sheffield Walk-in Centre is recruiting a confident, autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to predominantly manage minor illness presentations across all age groups, including paediatrics. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role within a supportive, clinically led environment.

Main Duties

  • Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting with minor illness
  • Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing skills
  • Identify red flags and escalate appropriately in line with clinical governance
  • Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting
  • Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork

Working Pattern

  • 7-day rolling rota
  • Service operating hours: 08:00-22:30

Essential Criteria

  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant ACP courses at Level 7 including recognised modules in Advanced Physical Assessment Skills (essential), Minor Illness/Injuries, Disease Management, etc.
  • Independent / Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
  • Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care
  • Confident, autonomous management of minor illness
  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions
