Job Opportunity: Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Non-Medical Prescriber) in Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders
About the Role
Are you an experienced Nurse / Allied Health Professional (AHP) with an accredited MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, including non-medical prescribing qualifications? We are seeking a passionate and skilled practitioner to support and manage Parkinson’s Disease and its treatment through a holistic pathway approach, within the Homerton Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders Service.
The role provides specialist support across:
- Outpatient services
- Inpatient review
- Community rehabilitation
- Managing complex community-dwelling patients
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver proactive, holistic, and evidence-based advanced assessment for patients with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders
- Monitor treatment responses and adjust care plans based on investigations to ensure safe and effective treatment
- Provide specialist input to:
- Emergency Department (ED)
- Sudden Death Evaluation Centre (SDEC)
- Inpatient wards (including time-critical medication management)
- Outpatient clinics (new and follow-up visits) and community home visits for high-complexity patients
- Identify emergency presentations, patient deterioration, or at-risk cases, and take timely action
