We are looking for someone who can provide technical insight and robust scientific evidence to support future product innovation and strategic technology decisions. You will deliver clear evidence-based technical recommendations, identify and help mitigate technology risks, and recognise breakthrough opportunities that can drive innovation and competitive advantage. By applying rigorous research and technical expertise, you will enable well-informed strategic decision-making while contributing to the development of a strong internal research capability through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and scientific excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical research activities and subject matter experts
- Identify emerging technology routes and options
- Perform first principal engineering analysis
- Drive competitive benchmarking
- Conduct patent & literature reviews
- Define system requirements
- Support technology strategy
- Reduce technical uncertainty through evidence

What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace or equivalent Engineering
- Strong analytical / scientific background
- Experience with technical research methodologies
- Systems engineering knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- First principles problem solving
- Highly organised and inquisitive
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience with Motors, Batteries, Filtration, Airflow, etc
