About the Role
We are looking for innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry. If this resonates with you, apply to join Transport UK London Bus, recruiting Advanced Engineers (HGV/PSV Technician Level 3).
Successful candidates will work in Engineering teams across London depots, operating on a 4-day-on/4-day-off shift pattern, leaving you with half the year off—unless youvolunteer for overtime to maximise the competitive salary.
5-day shifts are also available.

- Inspect, repair and maintain our fleet of buses.
- Investigate and diagnose mechanical and electronic faults.
- Record faults and repairs using a tablet-based system.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols; reporting any concerns immediately.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Qualification: Must hold an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in bus or heavy goods vehicle maintenance (or an equivalent international certification). (Training provided for IRTEC certifications if needed.)
- Licence: PCV licence preferred but not essential—training provided should you apply.
- Technical Competency:
- Strong grasp of Maths and English for manual compliance and reporting.
- Ability to interpret service manuals and instructions.
- Experience with fleet management computer systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Highly adaptable—able to meet tight deadlines and flex to different depots/shifts.
- Proficient in taking independent initiative while working collaboratively.
- Commitment to ongoing training as requested by senior management.
