About the Role

We are recruiting Advanced Engineers (HGV/PSV Technician Level 3) to join our Engineering teams across our London depots. You’ll work a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, meaning you’ll enjoy half the year off—unless you choose to work voluntary overtime to boost your highly competitive wages. Five-day shifts are also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our buses.
- Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
- Recording faults and repairs using a tablet.
- Following safety instructions and reporting any issues.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Technical Qualifications:
- Must have at least an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in the maintenance and repair of public service vehicles ( PSV ) or heavy goods vehicles ( HGV ) (or equivalent international qualification).
Licences & Certifications:
- IRTEC qualification in service maintenance technician, inspection technician, and advanced technician required—training provided if absent.
HGV or PSV Experience:
- PCV licence desired but not essential—we’d be happy to train you!
Key Competencies:
- Strong Maths and English skills.
- Ability to read and understand instructions, service manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Experience with fleet management computer systems.
- Team player with clear communication skills.
- Flexible—able to meet deadlines, take different shifts, or work across depots if required.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training arranged by the service manager.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative.
