Advanced Engineer (HGV/PSV Technician Level 3) Nights

Application Deadline: 5 May 2026 Department: Engineering Location: Beddington Depot Compensation: £28.28 / hour

Description

We are looking for innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry. If this is you, then why not apply to come and join us at Transport UK London Bus. We are looking to recruit Advanced Engineers (HGV/PSV Technician level 3) to join our Engineering teams, across our London Depot’s, working a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off; yes that means you will have half of the year to yourself unless you choose to work voluntary overtime to further boost the highly competitive wages that are on offer. 5 day shifts are also available.

Key Responsibilities

Inspecting, repairing and maintaining our buses. Investigating and diagnosing any mechanical and electronic faults. Recording those faults, and the work we’ve done to fix them, using a tablet. Following safety instructions and reporting any issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
