About the Role
Transport UK London Bus is recruiting Advanced Engineers (HGV/PSV Technicians Level 3) to join our engineering teams across London depots. We’re looking for innovative, self-starting individuals passionate about working in a busy and dynamic sector, with a night-shift pattern (4 nights on, 4 nights off).
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our buses.
- Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
- Recording faults and work done using a tablet.
- Following safety protocols and reporting any issues.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
To apply, you must have:
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles (PSV) or heavy goods vehicles (HGV).
- Training provided for:
- IRTEC qualification (servicing/maintenance technician, inspection technician, and advanced technician).
- PCV licence desired (not essential—training offered).
- A strong grasp of maths and English.
- Ability to:
- Read and interpret instructions and service manuals.
- Use fleet management systems.
- Work flexibly in a team.
- Willingness to:
- Meet deadlines and relocate between depots if required.
- Complete training provided by the service manager.
