Position overview: The AME IDEA Manager – Execution supports the delivery of regional automation projects across EU & Africa JIT, Trim, and Structures plants, ensuring execution aligns with Lear’s AME Roadmap. Reporting to the Senior AME Manager, the role provides SME expertise, leads project execution planning, manages risks, budgets, suppliers, and timelines, and ensures automation solutions are implemented to Lear standards with minimal operational disruption.
Main Missions:
Lead cross functional team consisting of plant, central functions, supplier representatives and program manage IDEA projects in assigned plants Ensure all actions linked with successful implementation of IDEA projects are on track and any delays are understood and communicated to AME, Plant IE manager and plant manager Works in close collaboration with Leadership teams from Central AME, Operations and Program Management Cooperation with Lear internal integrator WIP & CoE Equipment team on definition of standards, improvements and optimizations of equipment and tools as lead SME for Lear Bond technology Identify potential automated solutions which are suitable for JIT environment, Develops robust business cases from a technical / cost perspective prior to presentation to Senior Management Lessons Learned / Best practices sharing with AME team to ensure knowledge and experience is transferred to all plants within the group Coaches regional team members and shares knowledge of technology domains within area of expertise Ensures compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and local policies and procedures Strives to be at the forefront of technological advancements within their domain Participates in discussions with key stakeholders in relation to project feasibility, strategic implementation planning, cost and timing of AME projects Support for Operations by reporting regarding status of AME tasks & standards, IDEA project status, opened points and potential risks Supervision over AME activities & IDEA projects in assigned plants Reporting directly to Senior AME manager, dotted line to responsible plant manager / IE manager

Key Skills and Qualifications: Required Qualifications / Skills :
Program management skills and experience as essential requirement Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role Expert knowledge in at least one of the following fields : welding, maintenance, robotics, automation, EOL systems, project management Experience in supporting execution of multiple advanced manufacturing projects into operational environment Strong analytical skills / problem solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated experience of critically assessing business case proposals linked to ROI Demonstrates clear understanding of ergonomic requirements with ability to provide solutions to problems Showcases expert understanding of LEAR associated AME Controls / IT systems Expert level of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint. Willingness and flexibility to travel within the role. Ensures a safe working environment, follow, support, and maintain working practices, comply with all relevant HSE legislation and local policies and procedures.

Advantageous Qualifications / Work Experience:
Experience of working in the deployment of AME projects across multiple countries / facilities Understanding of CE certification requirements. Active usage of AI solution in professional environment University Degree ascertained in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or comparable discipline 5+ years’ work experience in a related field or position Fluency in English language both written and verbal.
