Job Description:

Vacancy: Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Registered Adult Nurse)
Location: Remote / Home Based - UK Only
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive salary plus fantastic company benefits
Hours: Part time & full time hours available
Minimum requirement of 16 hours / 4 sessions per week
Sessions currently available:

  • Monday & Friday - sessions available between 6am-10pm
  • Saturday & Sunday - sessions available between 8am-10pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - sessions available between 6pm-10pm
  • Required to work 1 in 4 weekends (1 session) if not working a weekend on a regular basis

How you’ll help us make health happen by:

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Bupa, you will deliver primary care consultations to customers of Bupa Health Clinics (BHC) in accordance with national, local, and internal policies and guidelines, ensuring a high-quality service which delivers high customer satisfaction digitally.

  • Delivery of Advanced Nurse Practice primary care services remotely, understanding there may be circumstances where it is necessary to refer customers to be seen face to face in a Bupa Centre or an alternative primary or secondary care provider.
  • Undertake clinical work in accordance with the National Framework of Advanced Clinical Practice, and in line with the NMC professional code of conduct as well as the Bupa code of conduct.
  • Always provide services within individual clinical scope, referring customers onto a GP or other clinician as needed and in line with internal referral processes.
  • Engage in incident reporting and investigation as outlined in our BHC incident Management and reporting policy.
  • Participate in internal competency assessments and annual clinical review.
  • Undertake NMC revalidation every 3 years.
  • Deliver best practice care to a wide variety of corporate and self-paying primary care customers following Bupa’s clinical governance, policies, procedures, guidance materials and quality standards, following professional codes of conduct.
  • Deliver outstanding professional and customer service standards and proactively contribute ideas to the remote clinical leadership team including the Lead ANPs and GPs, service team manager and central operations manager for continuous improvement.
  • Promote Bupa positively and proactively to employees, corporate clients and customers, developing effective working relationships with Bupa colleagues and the wider Bupa team.
  • Where appropriate, promote other Bupa services such as internal referral pathways.

Important Information:

  • Our service is open 7 days a week (Mon-Fri 6am-10pm, and Sat-Sun 8am to 10pm)
  • You will be available to work a minimum of 16 hours / 4 sessions per week.
  • Work one session in 1 in 4 weekends
  • You must be available to do your induction Monday - Friday office hours.
  • Must be UK based Adult Nurse NMC Registered Nurse.

What you’ll bring (essential):

  • Current NMC Registration (Adult Nurse) with no restrictions to practice
  • MSc or PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice (essential)
  • Independent prescribing qualification (V300)
  • Clinical Practice as a registered Nurse (Minimum 3 years)
  • Primary Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Minimum 2 years)
  • Independent Prescriber (Minimum 2 years)
  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Current Safeguarding Children and Adult Level 3
  • Ability to evidence implementation of the four pillars of advanced practice
  • Previous experience in remote working (desirable)
  • Previous experience in private practice (desirable)
