Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Out of Hours
Location: Berwick-upon-Tweed Salary: Competitive, DOE (Depending on Experience)
We are recruiting an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Out of Hours (OOH) service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages.
- Provide:
- Telephone triage
- Centre-based consultations
- Home visits
- Deliver high-quality urgent and palliative care.
- Prescribe medication.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- Independent Prescriber (essential).
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Advanced Clinical Practice, or currently working towards one.
- Confident in treating patients of all ages.
- Comfortable providing palliative care.
- Willing to:
- Understand and conduct triage.
- Undertake centre visits.
- Perform home visits.
- Work across most service sites.
- Accept regular shifts where available.

Commitment & Availability
- Reliable and committed to completing the onboarding process.
- Must reside locally.
Training & Documentation
Complete mandatory OOH training:
- Online induction (weekday evenings, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm).
- Palliative Care training (weekday evenings, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm).
- One 4-hour shadowing shift before working independently.
