Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Paramedic Practitioner (APP)
Bellyeoman Surgery, Dunfermline.
Salary: Dependant on experience
Hours: 25-30 (working hours to include afternoons on Mon/Tues/Fri)
Contract: Permanent
Bellyeoman Surgery is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced ANP or APP to join our supportive GP practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician to work autonomously within primary care, providing high-quality patient care and helping to improve access to services for our patient population.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively alongside GP’s, ANP, Nurses, pharmacists, mental health nurse, physio, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations, home visits, and triage of eConsult submissions.
- Prescribe independently (where qualified).
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic investigations and test results.
- Manage both acute presentations and long-term conditions within scope of practice.
- Provide health promotion, screening, and preventative care advice.
- Refer patients appropriately to secondary, community, or specialist services.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using the practice clinical system.
- Participate in audit, clinical governance, and continuous professional development activities.

Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Registered Paramedic (HCPC)
- Recognised ANP / ACP qualification
- Evidence of advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Independent Prescriber qualification.
- Experience working autonomously within primary care, urgent care, or community settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Criteria
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
- Experience in general practice / Primary Care.
- Minor illness or chronic disease management qualifications.
- Knowledge of EMIS and NHS primary care priorities
