Advanced Pharmacist - Bank

Clinical Pharmacist – Integrated Pharmacy Team (Central, North Wales)

And an exciting role is available for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate pharmacist with a keen interest in clinical services to join our expanding integrated pharmacy team. You will become part of a unique patient-focused role.

About the Role

Working as part of our integrated clinical pharmacy and dispensary teams, you will contribute directly to patient care while influencing treatment decisions at the point of prescribing. The position is based in Glan Clwyd Hospital, Central North Wales.

Responsibilities

  • Shaping clinical pharmacy services to enhance medication safety and operational flow across the hospital network
  • Collaborate closely within the multidisciplinary team to support guideline, protocol, and service development for **Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB)
  • Provide ward-based and community pharmacy leadership, leveraging expertise across Emergency Quadrant, Medicine, Surgery, and wider Central Integrated Healthcare Community (IHC)
  • Operate as a self-motivated professional with demonstrated:
    • Exceptional communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to liaise with senior staff, multidisciplinary colleagues (including primary, community, and secondary care professionals)

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential)

✅ BPharm/MPharm degree or equivalent qualification ✅ Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council ✅ Postgraduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or documented equivalent experience

Experience (Essential)

Must demonstrate suitable experience in hospital/community pharmacy settings.

Desirable:

  • Clinical specialisation (leverage relevant background)
  • Professional leadership or management
