At North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, we have the opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacist to join our workforce.
This static post, based at Peterborough City Hospital, offers the opportunity to further develop clinical skills across a wide range of specialties within the Woman and Child area. These include:
- general paediatrics
- paediatric oncology
- paediatric rheumatology
- paediatric high-dependency
- neonatal intensive care
- antenatal and postnatal obstetrics
- gynaecology
- breast care
The role is predominantly ward-based, working with the Principal Pharmacist to lead and develop clinical services as part of a small well-established Pharmacy team, working closely with patients, medical, nursing and midwifery staff. You will also be involved in the development of guidelines, policies, PGDs and formulary reviews, ensuring appropriate use of high-cost drugs, training of pharmacy staff rotating through the area and training of nursing, midwifery and medical staff.

Work to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (RPS) Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum*.
This Includes
- Take professional responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to the designated (CBU) / Specialty area and associated clinical areas and wards to meet their goals.
- Act as line manager as shown in the organisational structure chart.
- Provide expert clinical and service information to the pharmacy senior management team to support departmental operational service development and strategic planning.
