Role Description

The Advanced Plumber will work on-site in the Greater Dundee Area in a full-time capacity, handling complex plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and commercial properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Installing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, heating systems, and sanitary appliances
  • Diagnosing and resolving plumbing faults and leaks
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring work complies with local regulations and safety standards
  • Coordinating with other trades on construction and refurbishment projects

  • Carrying out testing, inspection, and commissioning of systems
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed
  • Communicating clearly with site supervisors, colleagues, and clients

The position may require occasional emergency call-outs and flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical plumbing skills, including installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of domestic and commercial systems
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with building and plumbing regulations
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety practices, safe use of tools and equipment, and adherence to site procedures and risk assessments
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with other trades and interact professionally with clients
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications or certifications (e.g., recognized trade apprenticeship, NVQ/SVQ or equivalent) and proven experience in advanced plumbing work
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Full, valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Dundee Area as required
  • Experience in construction environments and familiarity with UK building standards; gas or heating system certifications are an advantage
