About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking Physiotherapist to provide expert clinical care and leadership within the MSK Therapy team and the Spinal Orthopaedic team.

  • You will be part of a team committed to providing and developing a high-performing service, working in close partnership with the clinical and MSK AHP leadership team.
  • We want to build on a culture of continuous learning and ensure that staff of all grades are given the opportunity to grow and develop through education and new experiences.

MSK AHP Clinical Services has a new five-year strategy for which clinical leadership across the system will be crucial. You will be given the opportunity to lead and will be supported in your continued development in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of high-quality therapy care within a defined clinical area or pathway.
  • Responsible as a first-contact clinician in consultant outpatient clinics for diagnosing the condition, screening for serious pathology and either booking for surgery, referring to another consultant or referring for conservative treatment.
  • Responsible for providing expert clinical practice with advanced clinical reasoning and support to staff.
  • Provide clinical leadership to develop staff within the remit.
  • Lead evaluation and development of clinical practice within the specialism ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines and frameworks.
  • Develop the evidence base for practice through audit, clinical effectiveness and research activity and support.
