Advanced Practice Provider – Penn Highlands Healthcare

About the Role
As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will play a vital role within our clinical teams, supporting patient care under the oversight of physicians in designated practice settings or units.
Qualifications & Experience
Option 1: Physician Assistant Pathway
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant (PA), preferred
- Licensure: Current Pennsylvania PA license (Medical or Osteopathic preferred)
- Must secure a collaborative agreement through the state within 3 months of employment start date
- National PA certification required
- DEA registration required within 6 months of hire
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification through the American Heart Association at the time of hire
- Preferred: ACLS and PALS certifications maintained

Option 2: Nurse Practitioner Pathway
- Master’s Degree in Nursing required
- Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) licensure active
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a board-recognized national organization, including successful completion of a national certifying exam in the specialty area (as per PA State Board guidelines)
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), preferred
- Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications required
