About The Role
Position: Advanced Practitioner (12-Month Secondment – Maternity Cover)
Requirements & Aspirations:

Key Focus:
- Assist children with additional needs, providing measurable progress and collaborative agency partnerships.
- Deputy line-manager roles, deputising during absences or as delegated by the Assistant Head of Service.
Supervisory Tasks:
- Mentor new social workers including the National Qualification for Social Work (NQSW) and those in the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Guide junior staff to improve expertise in complex cases.
- Assess and manage higher-risk situations for both children and less experienced colleagues.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Proven excellence in safeguarding advocacy, assessment report-writing, and strategy development.
- Experience in working with vulnerable families to effect positive child outcomes.
- Innovative skills for engaging with children/parents directly.
- Demonstrated impact on professional networks, improving service capacity.
Skills:
- High-level emotional intelligence, self-reflexivity, and adaptability.
- Expert risk management and decision-making.
- Experienced in assessing aligns with CQC expectations.
