We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Advanced Practitioner Dietitian to join our Adult Allergy Service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician with exceptional communication and influencing skills to contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking MDT.
You will lead and deliver advanced dietetic care for adults with suspected and confirmed food allergy, including specialist assessment, diagnosis, management, and support for open food challenges and reintroduction programmes. You will provide expert advice to the MDT, contribute to weekly case-based discussions, and receive supervision from a Consultant Immunologist. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will lead the Adult Allergy Dietetic Service, line-manage staff, drive quality improvement, and provide clinical, operational, and strategic leadership. You will deliver specialist education, maintain up-to-date expertise, support multidisciplinary learning, and take responsibility for your own advanced professional development. You will also lead research and audit activity, contribute to regional and national initiatives, and help shape evidence-based policies and pathways across the Trust.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
