Position
An opportunity exists for a dynamic Physiotherapist with a special interest in Acute Musculoskeletal Management to work across Trauma and Orthopaedic Services and Unscheduled Care, based at Crosshouse Hospital, NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

Hours
36 hours per week
This post is offered on a permanent basis.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
You will hold a self-generated caseload, incorporating patient diagnosis, assessment, and treatment, carrying out or requesting investigations when clinically indicated. You will work closely with clinician’s across the specialties to ensure safe and effective care for people with urgent care needs. You will deliver best care aligned with GIRFT guidelines for patients presenting with potential Cauda Equina Syndrome. You will also act as an expert resource and have active involvement in Clinical Governance, Clinical Effectiveness and Research.

You will work with the multi-disciplinary Teams in Unscheduled Care and Orthopaedic Services within the outpatient setting. The postholder will be a welcome addition to a dynamic team delivering patient care in Ayrshire and Arran.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
It is essential that you possess a Diploma/MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy and are HCPC registered. With advanced practice clinical skills in the assessment and management of Musculoskeletal presentations, you will have appropriate postgraduate training or experience equivalent to a Masters Level, with proven leadership experience and an advanced knowledge of evidence based practice. You must have permission to work in the UK.
