Role Overview

Lead a Specialist Occupational Therapy Team – Advanced Practitioner

Join Walsall Council in supporting disabled children, young people, and adults across the life course—offering essential equipment, adaptations, and occupational therapy to empower independence.

As the Advanced Practitioner, you will lead, influence, and shape exceptional occupational therapy practice within a dynamic, evolving service.


Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Team Manager, you will:

  • Lead and develop high-quality, strengths-based Occupational Therapy practice
  • Allot and prioritise workloads to ensure effective caseload management
  • Provide reflective supervision, mentoring, and professional development
  • Support newly qualified staff with confidence building
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance
