The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in mental health pharmacy, and good knowledge of physical health issues is essential. They will be enthusiastic, innovative, flexible, proactive and have knowledge of how our business supports patient care. The applicant will also be integrated into and supported by the experienced and innovative mental health pharmacy team at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLStG).
It is an excellent opportunity for applicants to develop their engagement and networking skills, as well as hone their clinical pharmacy skills in a complex working environment.
With a strong understanding of current pharmaceutical standards of practice, national guidance and recent initiatives in pharmacy, the successful candidate will demonstrate how their work supports both organisational priorities and high-quality patient care. The role requires a strong clinical background in mental health pharmacy, alongside an innovative, flexible and proactive approach to service delivery and service improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
