Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity

This post presents an excellent opportunity to develop advanced pharmacist skills in rheumatology, maintaining and developing the service while the post holder is on maternity leave.

Should you be successful in securing this role you will join a friendly pharmacy team committed to providing high quality pharmaceutical care. Although your role will be primarily based in clinics, you will contribute to the ward clinical service, supporting junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and trainees.

This post would suit an experienced pharmacist, who will strive to improve quality of care for our patients. Although previous experience of working with Rheumatology patients is desirable, it is not essential as training will be provided.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday with a requirement to work 1 weekend in 10 with corresponding time off during the week. There is also a requirement to work at least one public holiday per annum.

Job Role:

  • Work with the Rheumatology Department.
  • Become an integral part of the Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Lead on biosimilar switching within rheumatology.
  • Optimise biologics pathways opportunities.

Working patterns: This post can be worked over 3-5 day working patterns to suit the applicant. All staff are required to work 1 in 10 weekends with corresponding time off given during the week. All staff are required to undertake at least one bank holiday duty per year. All rotas are subject to review at any time. We can offer this as a progressional Band 7 to 8a post if you do not fully meet the specification for the band 8a post.
