Salary: Competitive with Opportunities for Growth

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Operations team as an ‘Automation Advanced Team Leader’ (ATL) at our Nicholas & Harris site in Salisbury, part of Finsbury Food Group.

Nicholas & Harris has over 180 years of heritage in craft baking methods and is entering one of the most exciting periods of investment and growth in its history. As we continue to enhance our manufacturing capability through automation, technology, and operational excellence, we are looking for a technically strong and forward-thinking leader to help shape the future of our operation.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within a highly automated manufacturing environment, combining technical expertise with front-line leadership. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Operational teams, you will be responsible for driving equipment performance, improving reliability, developing technical capability, and supporting the successful integration of future automation technologies.

More than simply maintaining equipment performance, this role is about creating a culture of asset ownership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, helping ensure our manufacturing operation is equipped for the future.

This is what you’ll actually do!

As an ‘Automation ATL’, you'll lead the day-to-day automation and asset performance operation on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, operational stability, and the highest standards of asset care.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
