Advanced Team Member
Advanced Team Member – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Location: Ashby de la Zouch (Home to brands like Hula Hoops, Space Raiders, Popchips, and more…)
Shift: Monday to Friday, three-shift rotation
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
- 22:00 – 06:00 ( rotate through shifts)

About the Role
As an Advanced Team Member at KP Snacks, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production. The role requires expertise in a specific piece of equipment, with responsibility for maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using problem-solving tools and daily management systems to eliminate waste and losses.
- Coaching and training team members to ensure everyone is confident in operating and maintaining equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement through structured analysis and day-to-day optimisation.
This is a hands-on, skilled technical role for someone who loves responsibility, takes pride in detail, and wants to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Team Coaching & Training
- Mentor colleagues on equipment operation and maintenance to ensure safety and confidence.
- Use structured training methods to help team members uphold high standards.
Equipment Maintenance & Performance
- Take ownership of a specific piece of machinery—ensuring it’s properly maintained, safe, and running optimally.
- Monitor quality checks, testing procedures, and maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Performance Improvement & Waste Reduction
- Apply IWS problem-solving principles and daily management systems to resolve issues, identify inefficiencies, and reduce waste.
- Use time-proven tools and methodologies to debug and improvethe production line.
Daily Line Management
- Support safe, efficient production while hitting daily targets.
- Communicate effectively using the Shift Board and collaborating with team members to foster happy and productive workflows.

Job Requirements
Ideal candidates bring:
- Manufacturing or food industry experience (though on-the-job training will be provided).
- Proficiency in literacy and numeracy – key for instructions, data recording, and process compliance.
- Ownersip & Accountability – take initiative to pinpoint and resolve performance gaps.
- Attention to Detail: Precision matters for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong Team & Independent Thinking: Comfortable working both on your own and as part of a cohesive team.
