Are you a driven, relationship-focused sales professional with a passion for media and creative brands?
We have a fabulous new opportunity to join a forward-thinking, all-round creative/publishing organisation, based in Cambridge, working across an impressive portfolio of three prestigious magazines, plus their expanding digital platforms, social channels and wider media products. This is an exciting opportunity to drive commercial revenue through advertising sales, sponsorships and strategic partnerships, while helping clients to strengthen their brands for the long term. This role offers hybrid working.
The Role
As an Advertising Sales Executive, you will be responsible for delivering revenue by owning and growing a defined portfolio of existing client goals and developing tailored advertising and partnership solutions across print and digital channels. You’ll work closely with editorial, design and production teams to ensure campaigns are delivered to a high standard, on time, on brief, and with strong commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow existing client accounts by identifying new advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Prospect and qualify new business through networking, referrals, industry events and outbound sales activity.
- Achieve agreed revenue targets across print, digital and commercial partnership products.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, providing excellent client service and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Research market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
- Work with editorial/design/production teams to ensure campaigns are planned and delivered successfully.
- Represent the magazines/brands at exhibitions, conferences, networking events and client meetings.
Who we’re looking for
The ideal person will have around 2+ years proven success in media sales within both print and digital publishing, advertising or another media environment. Experience in B2B/B2BC sales, including generating new business, growing existing accounts, with strong consultative selling skills and the ability to understand and align with client objectives. You should be confident when presenting and selling via the ‘phone, video and face-to-face meetings. You will be self-motivated, target-driven with experience of using CRM systems to manage pipelines and customer relationships.
