Join Citizens Advice Richmond as an Advice Session Supervisor
Citizens Advice Richmond, a local charity with over 85 years’ experience delivering free, independent and impartial advice, is seeking an experienced Advice Session Supervisor to join our team. This role is the backbone of our service quality: you'll mentor and support our paid and volunteer advisors, champion quality, and ensure clients across the borough receive life-changing advice.
About the Role
The Advice Session Supervisor will:
- Manage and supervise advice sessions across all channels—face-to-face, telephone, and email
- Support and assess paid and volunteer advisors
- Conduct quality assurance and independent file reviews
- Identify training needs for advisors
- Ensure advice knowledge remains current and accurate
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and supervise advisors to maintain high standards in client support
- Evaluate session quality through direct observations and file reviews
- Identify Skill gaps and facilitate training sessions for improvement
- Liaise closely with clients, advisors, and senior team members
- Champion equity and fairness in service delivery
- Contribute to service development based on client needs
- Maintain confidentiality and strict adherence to data protection

Requirements
- Proven experience in advisory, mentoring, or supervisory roles, preferably in Advice sector
- Strong knowledge of legal, welfare, or financial rights, with an ability to stay updated
- Excellent communication, listening, and leadership skills
- Willingness to deliver training and learning to others
- Commitment to Citizens Advice Richmond’s core values: independent, impartial, and motivational
