About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Advisor - HR to join our People Team.

As an Advisor – HR you will be the first point of contact for any HR related issues and provide support/guidance to Line Managers in all HR matters. Ensuring colleagues are treated fairly, consistently and in line with company policy and current employment law legislation, resolving problems and conflicts before they escalate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Occupational Health provider to support cases and ensure process is followed and all cases are managed end to end
  • Be an integral member of the team whilst working closely with the wider HR team to drive consistency across the group
  • Provide support on grievance, disciplinary, capability and investigation hearings and provide advice on individual performance management issue
  • Provide HR representation and note taker, at disciplinary hearings up to and including dismissals.
  • Escalate any complex or high risk Employee Relations cases to the Senior Manager – HR Business Partnering
  • Provide administrative duties including outcome letter writing, on all HR cases within the area of responsibility
  • Provide guidance on areas such as performance reviews, absence management, maternity leave, liaising with other departments/specialists where appropriate

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD
  • CPP or equivalent experience in HR role
  • Highly organized and able to work to deadline
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and approachable
  • Conversant with all MS packages
  • Generalist HR background
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best working practices
  • Excellent administration skills
