Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity
As one of the Advisor Wellbeing Support for the North and West Auckland Region, you'll be the trusted advisor providing practical leadership, expertise, and advice across our customer-facing teams, to enable them to better support our customers and their whānau to live with dignity, stability and a degree of independence.
You'll have an in-depth understanding and solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including local agencies, support service providers, hapū, iwi, community representatives and the broader community, and you'll leverage these networks to navigate our customer-facing teams to the support providers and agencies that our/their customers need.
As part of a large and supportive team, you'll work closely with our other Advisors in the region as well as with our Housing Support Managers and will enjoy being out and about meeting with our customers and stakeholders. Your charismatic and confident manner will ensure your success in both networking with new local agencies and presenting your reporting to senior internal stakeholders.

- You'll have specialist knowledge, skill and behaviour working with customers who may have complex needs, coupled with a sound understanding of the social services environment and the complexity of pressures that can impact on our people
- Your networking skills will be your strength, as you develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external agencies, support service providers and the broader community
- Your cultural awareness and competency will ensure you interact with customers in an inclusive and respectful way that is aligned to their aspirations and preferences
- You will also be adept at coaching colleagues to build their understanding and skills to support customer wellbeing, including mentoring them to connect with the appropriate support services for emerging complex wellbeing needs
- You'll be a natural relationship-builder, with strong empathetic skills to connect and relate to customers from all backgrounds and walks of life.
