The Advisory Services Manager is the primary point of contact for advisory clients spanning the full client lifecycle—from negotiation of the Investment Management Agreement (IMA) through account onboarding and ongoing servicing.

The Advisory Services Manager ensures that complex account structures are established accurately and efficiently, while proactively addressing client-specific service requirements and expectations. This role also serves as the foundational support for Portfolio Management teams for pooled products to include development, implementation of product changes, and ongoing management. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders across Investments, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Distribution to ensure effective management of the investment advisory functions

Key task and responsibilities:

  • Key point of contact for advisory clients, particularly in relation to:
    • Investment Management Agreements (IMAs)
    • Client-specific information requests
    • Investment reporting and ad hoc investment enquiries
    • Operational enquiries
    • Legal, compliance, and regulatory questions
    • Portfolio management and investment strategy discussions
  • Negotiate and manage the Investment Management Agreement (IMA) for advisory accounts, ensuring all requirements are structured to corporate standards, and that portfolio management and compliance teams are fully informed, and ongoing investment guideline changes are effectively implemented.
  • Onboard new advisory client accounts to the specifications agreed upon in the IMA.
  • Provide ongoing support to Portfolio Management teams in managing issues related to advisory accounts or pooled products, including client-specific requirements and operational considerations.
  • Oversee all client communications, ensuring information delivered to advisory clients is accurate, consistent, coherent, and provided within agreed service-level timeframes.
  • Lead the onboarding and portfolio transition processes for new advisory clients, coordinating across internal teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Client Reporting team to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of investment reporting for advisory clients.
  • Coordinate and contribute to Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Audit requests, Compliance attestations and Onsite and remote operational due diligence reviews
  • Investigate and resolve operational errors or compliance breaches, including escalation and reporting to Operational Risk, and communication with clients where required.
  • Represent the advisory client internally and actively participate in client-related discussions, initiatives, and decision-making processes.
  • Harmonize with the Global Advisory Management (GAM) team in the US on process enhancements, automation, integration and product support.
  • Partner with Sales to support client servicing, retention, and growth initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
